Cherokee High School Stadium Sound System
System Requirements
Cherokee High School, located in Marlton, NJ, took a significant step forward in enhancing its athletic facilities during the summer of 2024 with the installation of a new press box. The existing sound system, which had served the school for years, was no longer functional and needed a complete upgrade to meet the needs of the entire stadium complex. Having successfully installed state-of-the-art stadium sound systems at Lenape and Shawnee High Schools within the same district, JD Sound and Video was the clear choice for this project.
System Design
Our team designed and implemented a cutting-edge press box-based sound system tailored to the unique needs of Cherokee High School. The system features advanced loudspeakers strategically positioned to deliver balanced sound coverage across the home stands, field, and visitor stands. To elevate the music experience, subwoofers were installed under the bleachers, providing powerful, high-energy bass.
At the core of the system is the Allen & Heath AHM processor, which offers seamless control and unparalleled flexibility. A user-friendly 7-inch touchscreen, mounted conveniently near the press box counter, allows staff to power the system on and off effortlessly and adjust audio levels with precision. This intuitive setup ensures that operating the system is both simple and stress-free.
