System Requirements

The Boys Latin School, located in  Philadelphia, PA has a large space that serves as both the cafeteria and the performance space.  The room is large, with reflective services, and needed a sound system that could provide high-quality speech and music reinforcement.

System Design

Our design team has extensive experience with school sound system projects and was up for this challenge.  We used EASE, an acoustical and sound system modeling program to design a sound system that would provide the best possible sound, given the room’s acoustics.  The Renkus Heinz column loudspeakers were the ideal choice for both the quality and slim profile.

Featured Equipment
  • QSC TouchMix digital mixer
  • Crown XTi-series amplifiers
  • Renkus-Heinz column loudspeaker
  • Community (Biamp) compact subwoofers
  • Shure BLX-R series wireless microphones

Result

The new sound system provides high-quality, intelligible sound for the entire space.  The wireless control with the mixer allows the staff to control the system anywhere in the room and set presets for different events.
