System Requirements

The existing sound system was patched into the paging loudspeakers which were installed when the cafeteria was added on.  The coverage and sound quality were poor, so a new sound system was needed to deliver intelligible sound for lunches and after-school events.  The paging system also needed to be fed into the sound system.

System Design

Equipment list:

(8) QSC AD-S6T loudspeakers

(2) QSC AC-C4T ceiling loudspeakers

(1) QSC CXD 4.2 amplifier

(1) Shure BLX-series handheld wireless microphone system

Result

The new sound system provides coverage for the entire cafeteria and is intelligible, even when talking over the crowd noise.  For events when music is played through the system, the sound full-range and not distorted.
