Checkpoint Systems – Audio, Video and Control System

System Requirements

Checkpoint Systems completed a major renovation of their Thorofare, New Jersey corporate headquarters during the summer and fall of 2018.  Part of this renovation included a customizable large presentation space.  The new “corporate auditorium” had to provide speech reinforcement for the entire space, as well as the ability to show video presentations, which can be seen anywhere in the room.  Wireless microphones were needed for presentations, town halls, and sales meetings.  Since the system is used by various departments, as well as outside vendors, the control of the system had to be simple and intuitive.

System Design

The video portion of the system includes an electric DaLite screen and is used often.  Since the room is deep, we installed four Philips commercials monitors on the sides so attendees can see from the middle and back of the room.  Video routing, as well as control, are handled by Atlona’s Velocity control system which worked well with the audio DSP, a Symetrix Solos.  The user presses one button to begin use of the system and turning the side displays on and off, as well as controlling the audio is very simple with the custom interface.   The audio portion is comprised of Community’s D6 ceiling loudspeakers, one of our favorites as it handles both speech and music very well.  Powering the four zones of loudspeakers is Lab Gruppen’s E series amplifiers.

Result

The new system is simple to operate and provides high-quality audio and video reinforcement.  Whether a 20-person presentation or a 100-person company meeting, the system is easily configurable and is used almost daily.

Conference Room Video System

Law Firm-Haddonfield, NJ

System Requirements

The main conference room is used for client meetings, presentations, and video conferencing.  The room had no installed audio/video equipment and needed to be able to support all of these functions with an easy-to-use interface.

System Design

We went with a 70″ Monopad which is a touch display that features a built-in PC, sound bar, conferencing camera, and wireless control and annotation options.  Since the system was self-contained, the was no need for an enteral rack, loudspeakers or other components.

Result

The self-contained solution only required one day of installation and now enables all of the staff to host meetings and presentations with the simplicity of the Mondopad.

Hatfield Foods – Wellness Center

System Requirements

The new audio and video systems had to provide simple controls for various operators while providing both high-quality sound and video reinforcement.
The gymnasium system needed the ability to display content from a laptop or cable feed and the projectors needed to be protected from impact.

System Design

The system is based around a Crestron control system which provides custom interfaces for controlling and routing the various audio and video sources. Dual screens in the gym allow for two sources to be displayed. Monitors in the fitness center show cable feeds with overhead pendant loudspeakers handling the audio. The store features a large display for digital signage.
