JD Sound and Video is proud to hold the contract for servicing and maintaining all of the audio, video and control systems for the New Jersey Capitol Building. This includes preventative maintenance, repair, and training.
The new sound system for the Lower Alloways Creek Elementary School had to provide high-quality music reinforcement for daily gym classes, as well as clear and even coverage for speech during presentations and performances.
Our sound system design was based around a left/right column design which provides even coverage and works for both music during gym classes and for performances.
- JBL CBT column loudspeakers with low-frequency extensions
- JBL dual 10″ subwoofers
- QSC TouchMix digital mixer with wireless iPad control
- Furman power conditioner/sequencer
The new sound system has been a welcomed addition for the staff, students, and parents. The physical education department no longer has to wheel out a portable sound system and for musical and dramatic performances, parents can hear clearly in the front and back rows. With the wireless iPad control of the mixer, the system is easily controllable anywhere in the room without wires.
The new audio and video systems had to provide simple controls for various operators while providing both high-quality sound and video reinforcement.
The gymnasium system needed the ability to display content from a laptop or cable feed and the projectors needed to be protected from impact.
The system is based around a Crestron control system which provides custom interfaces for controlling and routing the various audio and video sources. Dual screens in the gym allow for two sources to be displayed. Monitors in the fitness center show cable feeds with overhead pendant loudspeakers handling the audio. The store features a large display for digital signage.
The new audio, video, and control system had to provide reliable and high-quality audio and video reinforcement for the various events hosted in the space, which often include distinguished authors and politicians.
JD Sound & Video teamed up with Tannoy’s AET team to model a new system.
The new system provides full-range coverage for both the first floor and second-floor balcony.
The Paul VI High School theater sound system project was part of a major renovation and required state-of-the-art components that would provide the best sound for the space.
Our engineering team worked with QSC to create an EASE model of the space showing the predicated coverage with the QSC Wideline system. The dual hang line arrays were the perfect solution for the theater sound system.
