Video Wall Installation for NJ, PA and DE

A video wall is the most visible single investment in a commercial space — and the easiest to get wrong. We handle the engineering behind the screen so the finished wall looks exactly like the render you approved.

BEFORE YOU BUY

What Usually Goes Wrong

JD Sound and Video designs and installs LCD and LED video walls for boardrooms, lobbies, classrooms, command centers, houses of worship and control rooms across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. The panels are the easy part. These four things are what separate a wall that impresses people from one that quietly embarrasses you.

Bezels that cut through the image

A face on a 2×2 wall lands with a seam through the nose. Bezel width and content framing have to be decided together, before anything is ordered — not discovered on launch day.

Panels that drift out of alignment

Tiled walls move. Mounts settle, brackets flex, and color and geometry wander apart over the first year. Alignment is a maintenance item, and it needs a mount system that allows fine adjustment after the fact.

Brightness that washes out

A wall specified for a conference room and installed opposite a glass curtain wall will look grey by ten in the morning. Ambient light is a measurement, not an impression.

Power and cooling nobody planned for

Two dozen panels draw real current and dump real heat into a wall cavity. If that was not designed in, you get tripped circuits, hot electronics and a shortened service life.
We handle the engineering behind the screen — the mounting, the processing, the cabling and the content distribution. Every project starts with a free on-site assessment.

THE FIRST QUESTION EVERY BUYER ASKS

LCD vs. LED Video Walls — Which One Do You Need?

It is worth answering directly, because the honest answer is not always the more expensive one.

LCD Video Walls

LCD walls are built from panels — typically 55 inches — tiled together with thin bezels between them. They are the right choice when viewing distance is close, when you need fine detail, and when budget matters more than seamlessness.

Ideal for: boardrooms, lecture halls, control rooms and smaller lobbies where viewers stand near the wall.

LED Video Walls

LED walls use individual modules with no bezels at all, producing a fully seamless image. They are brighter, built for larger spaces, and last longer under extended operation.

Ideal for: bright lobbies, large sanctuaries, stadium concourses, and anything where impact and scale matter more than cost.

SeamsA visible bezel line between panels — commonly 1.8 to 3.5 mm panel to panel, and as tight as roughly 0.9 mm on premium models.None. Modules butt together, so a single image crosses the whole wall unbroken.
BrightnessAround 500 to 700 nits on typical commercial panels. Fine in controlled light; it struggles on a wall facing glass.Comfortably 1,000 nits and up, with high-brightness product available for daylight lobbies and concourses.
Close-up viewingExcellent. A 55″ panel resolves fine detail at conversational distance, which is why boardrooms and control rooms still use LCD.Set by pixel pitch, not size. A 2.5 mm pitch wants roughly 8 feet or more; fine-pitch product closes that gap at a real premium.
Run timeRated for extended commercial duty. Backlights dim gradually over years of operation.Longer rated life and better suited to genuine 24/7 operation.
ServicePanels are replaced individually. Alignment and color need periodic checking as the wall ages.Individual modules or cabinets swap out, usually from the front on a properly specified wall.
Relative costLower cost per square foot — often around half an equivalent LED wall.Higher up front. Cost scales with pixel pitch far more than with overall size.
Best forBoardrooms, lecture halls, control rooms, smaller lobbies.Bright lobbies, large sanctuaries, stadium concourses, anything where scale is the point.

How We Help You Decide

We don’t default to the more expensive option. We measure your space, look at viewing distance and ambient light, and recommend the technology that fits your use case. If an LCD wall does the job for half the price, we’ll tell you. If you need LED and nothing else will work, we’ll tell you that too.

The Bezel Line Is a Design Decision, Not an Accident

Where We Install Video Walls

Five very different rooms with five very different requirements. What they have in common is that the wall has to keep working after we leave.

Corporate Lobbies and Boardrooms

A statement wall in your lobby or a shared display in your boardroom. We design video walls that make the right first impression and double as working presentation surfaces — which means the source switching and the room audio have to be as considered as the panels.

Houses of Worship

Worship lyrics, sermon support and live video on a seamless wall behind the stage. We integrate the video wall into your existing worship AV system so volunteers can run it without an engineer — the same people who run your Sunday service, on the Wednesday when nobody technical is in the building.

Schools and Universities

Digital signage in entryways, lecture hall displays and athletic facility video walls. Built for daily use and simple enough for staff to manage, with content scheduling that a front-office administrator can actually update.

Command Centers and Control Rooms

Multi-source monitoring on a high-reliability wall. These are our most technically demanding installs — redundant power, managed heat load, and content routing built for 24/7 operation where the wall going dark is an operational failure, not an inconvenience.

Athletic Venues and Scoreboard Displays

Concourses, field houses and scoreboard video walls. Bright enough to read in direct sunlight and weather-resistant where the space demands it — which changes the product, the mounting and the cable path.

THE PART BEHIND THE SCREEN

What Goes Into a Proper Video Wall Installation

Most of the cost and nearly all of the risk sits behind the panels, in three places.

1

Structural Engineering and Mounting

A video wall is heavy, and the wall behind it wasn’t built to hold it. We engineer the mounting structure, verify load capacity, and plan for service access. A wall you can’t maintain is a wall that fails.
2

Video Processing and Content Management

The panels are only half the system. We handle the processor, the content distribution and the control interface so you can push any source to any zone — and so content never looks stretched or letterboxed.
3

Power, Cooling and Cabling

Two dozen panels generate real heat and draw real current. We plan dedicated circuits, ventilation and cable paths behind the wall so it runs cool and clean — not crammed into a cavity that cooks the electronics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to what people ask us before a video wall project starts.

It depends on size and technology. A small 2×2 LCD wall starts around $10,000 to $20,000 installed. A large, seamless LED wall for a lobby or sanctuary typically runs $50,000 to $150,000 or more depending on square footage and brightness.

Every project starts with a free on-site assessment and a line-item proposal, so you know exactly what you are paying for — panels, mount structure, processing, cabling, commissioning and labor broken out separately rather than buried in one number.

LCD walls are made from tiled panels with thin bezels between them. LED walls are made from seamless modules with no bezels at all.

LCD is more cost-effective and better for close viewing — a boardroom or a control room where people sit a few feet away. LED is brighter, seamless, and built for larger spaces and longer run times — a daylight lobby or a sanctuary behind a stage. We help you pick based on your room and your use case, not the higher commission.

A small LCD wall can be installed in one to two days. A large LED wall with custom mounting, processing and content distribution typically takes one to three weeks including engineering and commissioning.

We provide a clear timeline upfront and work around your operating hours. In a lobby or a sanctuary that usually means evenings and weekends for the loud and dusty parts.

Yes. Most of our video wall projects are retrofits. We assess the wall structure, plan mounting and service access, and route power, data and cooling within the existing space.

We will tell you honestly what your wall can support before we quote anything. Sometimes the answer is that the wall needs backing or blocking added first, and it is much cheaper to learn that during the assessment than on install day.

You control it through a processor and content management interface we set up for you. Push a single image across the whole wall, split it into zones, or run different sources to different sections.

We train your team on your content workflow, in your space, on your hardware — not on a demo unit in a showroom. If the people who need to change the wall on a Monday morning cannot do it without calling us, we have not finished the job.

We offer service agreements that include panel calibration, alignment checks and priority response. Video walls drift and panels eventually need replacement — we plan for that from day one so your wall keeps looking seamless for years.

Part of planning for it is physical: service access behind or in front of the wall has to be designed in. A wall you cannot get behind is a wall that stays broken.

We are based in Voorhees, New Jersey, and serve clients across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware — including Camden, Cherry Hill, Princeton, Trenton, Newark, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Dover and surrounding communities.

Call us or fill out the form below. We will schedule a free, no-obligation on-site assessment, measure your space, and walk through your options — LCD or LED, size and budget. Most assessments take under an hour.
